Garscube Harriers Club Policy on Number Swapping

• The unauthorised swapping of race numbers is strictly prohibited.  This policy is in line with the Scottish Athletics rules on number swapping.  The policy extends to any race undertaken by a member of Garscube Harriers.  The policy extends to members accepting a race number from another athlete or offering a race number to an athlete.
• Any athlete found to be in breach of the policy will be reported to race organisers by the club and may be subject to club disciplinary measures.
• Athletes are not precluded from making an authorised switch of a number with the consent of the race organisers.
• This policy is also aligned with the club value of Respect.  Prohibiting number swapping shows respect to race organisers, fellow competitors and the sport.
